Virtual 360 Tour: Vespa Ride Around Rome

July 10, 2023

There’s something magical about walking around the streets of Rome, beside the Colosseum, where in the midst of modern life, stands this imposing ancient structure. If you’ve been to Rome, you’ll know that scooters are the primary form of transport for many – first made in Florence in 1946, taking a scooter ride around the Eternal City is the most quintessentially Italian way to see Rome. Since the 1953 film starring Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck, where they tour the city by Vespa, Vespas became an international symbol for Italian city life – designed to speed down narrow cobbled streets, cut through traffic and park just about anywhere, while still looking perfectly chic.

If it’s good enough for Audrey Hepburn, it’s good enough for us! Join us on our 360 virtual Vespa Ride around Rome, where we take you past the magnificent Colosseum, slicing through traffic and whizzing down some of Rome’s winding streets.

Don’t forget to drag your mouse around the video screen for a full 360 view of the Eternal City.

Put on your helmets and let’s go for a ride!

“One of the most exhilarating and breathtaking experiences in Rome is to take a scooter ride. We are going to take a scooter ride by the most famous Roman monument of all time and one of the most iconic buildings in the world, the Colosseum.

Some ancient Egyptian lions that have been turned into fountains at the staircase by Michelangelo. If you look over to your right you’ll see Catherine Pollock at the top of the stair which leads up to the Campidoglio hill which, was redesigned by Michelangelo – and a medieval church, the Church of Saint Mary and the altar in the skies, where it was said if you climbed that staircase on your knees, you’d win the Italian lottery. In olden times it was to get a blessing but in modern times it became about “show me the money”.
