Our cooking classes are always run by local chefs When you arrive to this Rome cooking class, the hor d'oeuvres are already waiting. Don't fill up! There is plenty of food on the way. Have a glass of bubbly before you start cooking. Taking photos of your food is not only allowed, it's encouraged. Our pasta is made from nothing but flour and fresh eggs. Incorporating the flour... Roman egg yolks are brilliantly yellow. The dough comes together little by little. When it gets to thick for your fork, it's time to start with the hand. Kneading pasta dough is a time-honored tradition of Italian cooking. Our chefs will show you how to bet intense flavors out of humble ingredients. There is no smell quite like the aroma of cooking guanciale. After resting your dough, it's time to roll it out. Marking ravioli is an art in an of itself. You don't kneed to be a pro to make perfect ravioli. Cutting uniform pasta is a lot easier with the right tools. A fresh batch of pasta! Drying pasta on a traditional pasta dryer Making ravioli takes a soft touch. Piping bags are useful for more than just frosting. Is your mouthwatering yet? Nothing like a glass of Italian wine to wash down your creations. Enjoy the food you just cooked with your fellow classmates. There is nothing like eating dinner on a rooftop in Central Rome. We also provide desert at the end of the meal. Don't forget to collect your diploma. We want YOU for a Rome cooking class! The love story between Cupid and Psyche inspired this amazing work by Antonio Canova

The most memorable, fun, and hands-on way to spend an evening, our Rome pasta-making class gives you a chance to enjoy a true, Roman experience. Your experience will start as all great Italian evenings do, with prosecco, traditional Italian aperitivi and conversation. You’ll be greeted by the chef and have some time to chat with your fellow cooks on the terrace before you start.

Once you’ve relaxed, it’s time to learn how to make pasta – from scratch! If you want to make authentic Italian food at home, this is the number-one skill to learn. You’ll do it all yourself during our Rome cooking class, from mixing the ingredients to kneading the dough, rolling it and shaping it into two different types of pasta, one ravioli and another surprise. No previous experience is necessary since your chef will guide you through the hands-on process – fun for both children and adults.

Throughout the evening your chef will teach you tricks for cooking the perfect pasta; from the different uses for different flours, to the best sauce bases and substitute ingredients you can source at home. Of course you’ll be eating as you go. You’ll sample different Roman appetizers together with prosecco before you start to cook and local wines as you make your own pasta from scratch!

The highlight of your evening will be the dish you’ve cooked for yourself – two separate types of pasta that are guaranteed to be the most satisfying meal of your stay in Italy. Enjoy them out on the terrace under the Roman sky, then wrap it all up with a dessert and a digestif, just as the Romans do.

The wine helps of course, and the teamwork that goes into mixing, rolling, shaping and cooking your pasta – but key to this intimate experience is our small groups. With only 14 people or fewer, you’ll get to know everyone and have plenty of time to chat with the chef. In the relaxed environment of his rooftop studio, you’ll feel comfortable and perfectly at home – especially when it comes to enjoying the fruit of your labor out on the terrace!

Throughout the experience we encourage you to ask as many questions as you like. This is your chance to learn about how to cook and eat like an Italian from a true expert – take full advantage of it.

For an evening you’ll never forget; cook, dine and drink wine with our friendly Roman chef.

Wonderful time. Would recommend.
The event was wonderful Giulia and Luca were skilled, personable, energetic and easy to work with My daughter with special needs had some trouble and Giulia recognized this helping her in a respectful and compassionate way. Kudos for that and having a great chef team Evening ran late but we were having fun If there’s a way we can communicate our thanks to our chefs directly though you or otherwise please let us know
The pasta making class was fabulous and one of the enormous highlights of our time in Rome. The two chefs we worked with were just wonderful and it was an outstanding experience.
Awesome experience with very entertaining and knowledgeable chefs.
The chefs were fantastic! We had so much fun!
It was absolutely amazing. It was fun, informative, and most importantly – delicious! I will be recommending this ‘walk’ to several other people I know who will be headed to Rome this summer.
Loved everything about it and can't wait to make the recipes now that we are back home!!
Roberto and Lucca were incredible! This was the highlight of our trip
This was the hightlight of our trip! Elena and Francesco ran an excellent class. Our entire group had lots of fun together. Exceeded our expectations.
This was an amazing class that went above and beyond what I expected. Both chefs were professional and hands on and I definitely will recommend this to all my friends.
It was so much fun. The view was fantastic and the chefs were great. Very nice. I am a vegetarian and it was no problem for them to accommodate me and cook a dinner that worked for me. I have already recommended this tour to our friends who will be in Rome next week!
The class was excellent and the chefs were outstanding. A highlight of our trip in Rome. However, a group of five came at least a half hour late. My group of four and another couple had to wait before we could start the class. I didn’t think it was fair to us. We had the pristine Sistine tour the next day and had to be at the meeting point by 7:15.

I had been on vacation for 24 days and had done a number of tours when me and my wife showed up for pasta making. We were tired of the same type of tour so when we showed up for pasta making we were not expecting the BEST experience of our whole trip. Yep, we had so much fun with Laura and Marko that I would recommend this to my whole family. My wife and I are still talking about it and we're already home, the roof top was a very pleasant and comfortable, everything was set up and organized......everybody in our class loved the experience........I'm more than happy and really recommend Laura and Marko....well done...!
Absolutely loved this; both chefs were fabulous; especially loved Laura; she is fantastic! Brava!!!!!
We could not have enjoyed the event or evening any more. Laura and her assistant made everything perfect. You have a wonderful team. Look forward to more adventures with your company. Will recommend you to our friends.
My husband and I absolutely loved the pasta-making class with Walks of Italy. Laura was knowledgeable and made the experience so easy and fun. It was nice to escape the hustle and bustle of Rome to learn more about pasta and local food. The pasta was really delicious too! It was one of our major highlights for Rome--and really our entire trip!
Our cooking class with Chef Roberto and Luca was one of our favorite things we did our entire trip. We had such a blast learning more about Italian cuisine, meeting other people from around the world and of course, eating. This is something we will definitely be recommending to all of our family and friends who are visiting the area.
This was one of our most enjoyable activities during our two-week Italian vacation.

This class was a lot of fun, just what I was looking for! Chefs were engaging and knowledgeable. The rooftop sunset views made for an amazing ambiance.
We loved every minute of our pasta making class! Roberto and Rafaella were so wonderful! My kids wanted to do another class the following evening!
We are so happy we booked this pasta making class. The "kitchen" rooftop deck was amazing. Our chef Laura was awesome. We made delicious food but she and her partner also kept us entertained and laughing. It was a great experience I'd definitely recommend.
We loved the pasta class! so much fun. Fernanda was excellent. Unfortunately, five people from a group came late and held up the class. I didn’t think it was right that it was held up. I was in a group of four and we were on time to the meeting point as was another couple. We had to get up early the next day for the pristine Sistine tour.
