Our cooking classes are always run by local chefs When you arrive to this Rome cooking class, the hor d'oeuvres are already waiting. Don't fill up! There is plenty of food on the way. Have a glass of bubbly before you start cooking. Taking photos of your food is not only allowed, it's encouraged. Our pasta is made from nothing but flour and fresh eggs. Incorporating the flour... Roman egg yolks are brilliantly yellow. The dough comes together little by little. When it gets to thick for your fork, it's time to start with the hand. Kneading pasta dough is a time-honored tradition of Italian cooking. Our chefs will show you how to bet intense flavors out of humble ingredients. There is no smell quite like the aroma of cooking guanciale. After resting your dough, it's time to roll it out. Marking ravioli is an art in an of itself. You don't kneed to be a pro to make perfect ravioli. Cutting uniform pasta is a lot easier with the right tools. A fresh batch of pasta! Drying pasta on a traditional pasta dryer Making ravioli takes a soft touch. Piping bags are useful for more than just frosting. Is your mouthwatering yet? Nothing like a glass of Italian wine to wash down your creations. Enjoy the food you just cooked with your fellow classmates. There is nothing like eating dinner on a rooftop in Central Rome. A COMPREHENSIVE ROME COOKING CLASS

The most memorable, fun, and hands-on way to spend an evening, our Rome cooking class gives you a chance to enjoy an authentic culinary experience and learn some tricks for your own kitchen. Your evening starts with prosecco, traditional Italian aperitivi and conversation with your fellow students and the local chefs who teach the class.

Once you’ve relaxed, it’s time to learn how to make traditional Italian pasta from scratch! You’ll learn every step and do them all yourself, from mixing the ingredients to kneading the dough and making the sauce. You'll make two different types of pasta, one ravioli and another surprise. No previous experience is necessary for your Rome cooking class since your chef will guide you through the hands-on process. It's a great experience for seasoned cooks, amateurs, and even children.

ENJOY LOCAL WINE & APPETIZERS AS YOU LEARN ABOUT ITALIAN CUISINE

Throughout the evening your chef will teach you take-home tricks for cooking perfect pasta; from the different uses for different flours, to the best sauce bases and substitute ingredients you can source at home. You’ll also be tasting as you go but the highlight of your evening will be the dishes you cook for yourself. Enjoy them out on the terrace under the Roman sky, then wrap it all up with a dessert and a digestif, just as the Romans do.

Small groups are what make our Rome cooking classes such enjoyable experiences. With only 14 people or fewer, you’ll get to know everyone and have plenty of time to chat with the chef. In the relaxed environment of a rooftop terrace in central Rome, you’ll feel comfortable and perfectly at home – especially when it comes to enjoying the fruit of your labor out on the terrace!

This was a present to my mum and it probably the highlight of our trip to Italy! We couldn't believe we were the only ones in the class! Stefano was a great and fun teacher and we can confidently say we can now make fresh pasta. We can't wait to give it a go when we get back to Australia.

My girlfriend and I spent 5 weeks in Europe and this was the highlight of our trip. Our chefs, Federica and Roberto, were incredible. They were kind and hospitable and made sure everyone had a great time. The class itself was a lot of fun: we learned to make pasta and got to eat it afterward. But our chefs made it unforgettable with their lively attitudes and insights into Italian food and cooking. This class is worth doing if you find yourself in Rome!
By far the best tour/experience we’ve ever done. Chef Laura and Marco were top drawer. Their ability to host an event, teach pasta making as well as getting the group dynamics to work was so perfect! 10/10 would do again.

She explained everything in a reasonably clear manner and answered any questions that we had. Eating the pasta we made on the terrace was delightful. I would recommend this Cook, Dine and Drink Wine with a Local Chef to anyone who is interested in doing something a little different whilst in Rome.

We LOVED being on the terrace and cooking dinner, it was so fun. The chefs were amazing and so helpful in teaching us but also giving helpful insider tips for those of us trying to assimilate to true Italian culture while in Italy. The only thing we would say is it’s a long time to be standing, especially if you’ve had a long day. I would recommend that while they do the intro portion, they let everyone sit and have some wine. :)
This event was absolutely amazing. Fernanda and the other chef (whose name I am forgetting at this moment) were fantastic. My wife and I learned so much and it was easily one of our favorite nights of our entire trip in Italy.

With no exaggeration, this has been the highlight of our trip so far. Fernanda and Luca were lovely - helpful, kind, full of interesting information, and created a friendly atmosphere where all of the guests felt comfortable chatting with each other by the end of class. The pasta we made was delicious and we were all were excited to make it again at home. The setting was stunning. We loved it!

We had a very great time . We took this class as we are the pasta makers of our family. We learned a few good ideas and will try them once we get home. We also learned we cook our sauce to long.
Federica and Roberto were absolutely fantastic. We did this the same day we flew into rome and I was worried we would be too tired to really enjoy it. It was hands down my absolute favorite thing we did between Rome, Florence and Prague. The food was beyond delicious, and WE made it! I don’t eat beef or pork, so I got to make a vegetarian option that was phenomenal. I cannot say enough about this, if you have the opportunity, do this. We were sent home with the recipes and instructions to remake what we learned, and that is on the agenda for this weekend back here in Ohio

This was an outstanding class. We had an absolute blast! We did the class in the afternoon, and my husband and I were the only ones there. Our local chef gave us a lot of helpful information throughout the class, and answering all of our questions along the way. We snacked on delicious appetizers and prosecco while making our pasta and sauces, then we were able to observe her cooking the pasta. At the end, we were served one of the most delicious, if not THE most delicious meals we had during our entire trip to Rome. The pasta was amazing, and there was plenty of wine to go along with the meal. I highly suggest this class to anyone visiting Rome!
