EXTENDED TOUR DESCRIPTION
No time? No problem!
If you’re short on time, our full-day Paris city tour is perfect for you. We take care of all of the logistics, tickets and skip the line access so you can see the best of the city in just one day. For one full day our local guide will lead you on an unforgetable tour of the city’s most amazing attractions, with a small group of 15 people or fewer so the conversation will be as easy as your travel.
A Complete Tour Of Paris Without the Hassle
Your Paris city tour starts at the base of Montmartre hill, where you’ll meet your guide and no more than 15 other traveling companions. Next, you’ll hop on the funicular for a lovely ride up to the Sacré-Cœur Basilica to take in stunning views of the city. From there your guide will lead you through the winding streets of Montmartre, stopping off at the neighborhood vineyard (remember, this is France), artist hangout Place du Tertre, and a reconstructed windmill, like those made famous by the cabaret club (and movie) Moulin Rouge.
Next, you’ll jump on the subway, Paris’ best public transport, for a short trip to the very center of historic Paris, the Île de la Cité. Here you’ll learn how the city grew from humble beginnings into one of the jewels of Europe. No building represents this transition better than the Notre Dame Cathedral, whose amazing gothic architecture you’ll examine inside and out as your guide gives you the true stories behind famous Parisian lore, like the Hunchback of Notre Dame.
Enjoy a guided tour of the highlights of the Louvre Museum
After a short walk along the Seine river to the Louvre Museum, you’ll take a 1-hour break for lunch (taking advantage of restaurant recommendations from your guide.) Then you’ll skip the long entrance lines to the world’s largest art museum, for a tour of the highlights of their collection, including paintings from Raphael, Delacroix and Gericault and sculptures by Michelangelo. Of course, you can’t leave without seeing the 'Mona Lisa'. Your guide will explain its significance as well as the mysteries that continue to make it one of the world’s most intriguing paintings.
Skip long lines with Eiffel Tower tickets
From Paris’ most famous art museum to her most beloved monument, the next stop on this Paris city tour is the Eiffel Tower. After another short subway ride to the Trocadéro Plaza you’ll catch your first glimpse of her. This is by far the best vantage point to take pictures of the tower so you’ll stop on your way before crossing the river. As you ascend to the second level of the Eiffel Tower by elevator (skipping long lines with pre-reserved tickets), your guide will tell you the fascinating story of its construction. From the tower, they’ll point out the major landmarks at your feet, then leave you to enjoy your visit in your own time.
A Seine River Cruise, Just Because
The guided portion of your Paris tour ends here but your guide will leave you with a little gift courtesy of Walks: Tickets for a Seine River cruise that you can use immediately to take advantage of the beautiful Paris sunset, or save for the next day. Just a little something to show our appreciation for having spent an amazing day in Paris with us.
Cruising from west to east and back again, this boat tour (with audio included if you wish), takes you past favorite sites like the Musée d'Orsay, the Louvre, and Notre Dame, allowing you to get a different view of places you saw earlier as well as many beautiful bridges including the Pont Neuf.
From the windmills of Montmartre, to the sanctuary of Notre Dame, the halls of the Louvre, and the second floor of the Eiffel tower, you will pack more postcard-worthy attractions into one day that you could into a week of normal sightseeing. There is simply no better way to experience the culture, history, and beauty of the City of Lights in a short period of time.
