Tour Description
Your Venice food and wine tour kicks off at 5pm, just as tourists begin to leave the city for the day. You'll meet your local, foodie guide, and small group of no more than 12 people in the authentic Venetian neighborhood of San Polo. Here, you will get an introduction to the flavors of this unique destination before heading off in search of authentic local specialties.
Your guide will take you to three of their favorite local osteries where you'll sample cicchetti (Venetian ‘tapas’ including calamari, salami, grilled polenta and more), baskets of fried seafood, and plates of piping hot risotto. At each stop, you'll learn about the dishes you're eating and also enjoy complimentary drinks, like locally-made prosecco from the tap, wine, and Venice's favorite aperitif: the Spritz.

Our tour group ended up with about 10 people and our guide was Christiano. It was a very entertaining evening and Christiano did an amazing job telling us about each stop, the food and Venice along the way. Getting to ride a gondola at night was a special experience that we will always remember.

Francesca was a fantastic guide. She educated on us Venetian history in a fascinating way by connecting it with the food and wine elements of the tour. all 3 venues were good, different from each other and fun to be in. The small size group worked really well. We didn't do the gondola ride as it took us farther from our hotel than the last venue and we didn't need to experience it again. As a suggestion, you might lower the price a bit a make the gondola ride an option as it wasn't related to the main part of the tour. If Francesca is an example of the quality of your guides, we'll certainly use your services again. In fact, we checked to see if you had anyone in Lisbon as we'll be there for only a couple of days (Oct 30 - Nov 1). We would have purchased a similar even there if offered.

The tour was terrific. Francesca is an excellent guide with tremendous knowledge of Venezia. It was a great evening to taste some nice wines and food, experiencing the tradition Venetian style and Francesca gave us an exciting description of the history of Venice with an emphasis on the culinary and wine experience.
