Tour description

An Unforgettable Vatican Private Tour

The Vatican is one of the most visited places on Earth. But on this Private Vatican Tour, you’ll explore it without the rush, the guesswork, or the crowds. With an expert private guide, you’ll move at your own pace, skipping the lines and unlocking the stories that most visitors miss.

Private Tour of Vatican and Sistine Chapel – With No Waiting

Step inside the Vatican Museums, a treasure trove of Renaissance masterpieces, classical antiquities, and hidden corridors. Follow your guide through the Gallery of Maps, Raphael Rooms, and lesser-known gems, uncovering the symbols, secrets, and political intrigue woven into every fresco and sculpture.

Then, step into Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel. But instead of just looking up, you’ll understand it. Your guide will reveal the drama, genius, and artistic rivalries behind one of history’s greatest achievements—turning what most visitors rush through into a moment you’ll never forget.

St. Peter’s Basilica: More Than Just a Church

Your journey continues inside St. Peter’s Basilica, home to Michelangelo’s exquisite Pietà and Bernini’s grand Baldachin. More than just a church, this is a monument to centuries of ambition, artistry, and devotion.

Why a Private Vatican Tour?

Private Vatican tours means no waiting, no crowded group, and no distractions—just you, your guide, and the Vatican as it was meant to be experienced. Whether you want to linger in front of Raphael’s frescoes, marvel at St. Peter’s dome, or explore hidden corners, this is the ultimate way to experience the Vatican.

Important Note: The special access passage between the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica is closed on Wednesday mornings. It is subject to other closures during special celebrations/festivities, including the Easter ceremonies. On such days we will instead explore more of the Vatican Museums' galleries.

Our guide Laura was knowledgeable and provided a great tour of each location. She explained things with detail and expertise. She allowed plenty of time for questions and made the experience truly enjoyable. We had skip the line access to each area which I highly recommend as line here can be quite long. Would recommend any tour that Laura does and hands down have had the best experience and 3 tours with the company so far on our trip.

Julia was very knowledgeable and you could tell she really enjoyed passing on information about the Vatican. She provided insights on things I wasn't aware of despite being an art history major myself.

Julia was our guide, and she was wonderful! Her art history degrees clearly came into play, her knowledge and expertise made this tour very special. She made sure we saw the most important works of art in the museums, curating each with clear and understandable narration. To see more than the highlights, would have been impossible! And yet there was a very difficult couple on our tour who felt that we needed to look at each piece of art, which is ridiculous-and Julia handled them with a respectful professionalism which was laudatory. I could never have been so calm with this couple! Sadly, St Peter’s was closed to everyone that day (can’t argue with the Pope!), and Julia made sure we saw other aspects of the museum we would not have otherwise seen to make sure our time was productively filled, including extra time in the Sistine Chapel.

We took several excursions three at Rome, 2 at Athens all were excellent I was a little disappointed with the boat not raising the sails we just motored around between swimming stops Rob M

The tour was great. Our tour guide added humor and covered the Vatican very well. He went into details as needed but just stay there on tiny details.
