EXTENDED TOUR DESCRIPTION

A COLLECTION AS MANAGEABLE AS IT IS BEAUTIFUL

The Borghese Gallery tour takes you inside one of the most spell-binding art museums in the world. Located in the 17th century home of Cardinal Borghese, it houses the art of the Cardinal himself - collected, commissioned (and even stolen!) during his lifetime. Since this is a private residence and not a sprawling palace, the Borghese Gallery is strikingly manageable. During your 2.5 hour visit you'll see all of the rooms and even have time to delve into the stories behind the artworks.

In the company of an expert art historian guide, you'll see paintings by Caravaggio, Titian, Canova, and Raphael. Your guide will help you understand and interpret these masterworks, so you won't just enjoy them, you'll understand them. You'll also see the incomparable collection of sculptures by Gian Lorenzo Bernini, including Apollo and Daphne, the Rape of Proserpine, and more. This is art as it was meant to be seen, in a beautiful intimate setting.

THE UNPARALLELED JOY OF A QUIET GALLERY

Borghese Gallery tickets are a limited commodity. Only a set number of people are allowed inside at any given time, which has two results: First, the gallery is relatively peaceful at all times, particularly in comparison with the Vatican Museums; and second, tickets often sell out far in advance. We pre-reserve your tickets to guarantee that you won't be disappointed on the day.

GET THE MOST FROM YOUR VISIT WITH THE PERFECT HOST & SMALL GROUP SIZES.

Our Borghese gallery tour is not just about looking at art; it's about you’re experiencing it. With small groups of only 15 people or fewer you’ll have time and space to interact with your guide, discussing what you see on a more personal level, And, whether you think you love art or not, we promise: After this tour, you will love the Borghese – and probably Bernini, Caravaggio, Canova and Raphael, too.

We had an amazing tour of the Borghese Gallery with Felix. His passion, knowledge, and obvious love of what he does certainly enhanced the tour. He brought many of the pieces to life, especially in the way he had a move around statutes as he was talking about the pieces, what the artist wanted us to see, and highlighting perspective. I'm so grateful we took the tour as opposed to walking through the gallery by ourselves, and Felix made this a tour one I would gladly recommend to my friends!

Felix was excellent! He was friendly, passionate, and deeply knowledgeable. Highly recommend him.
This was an excellent tour. Francesca was well versed in the many pieces of art we viewed. She was very pleasant, professional and knowledgable. The length of the tour was perfect, not too long, not too short. So many pieces of precious art to view my head was spinning! How she keeps it all in her head is amazing. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who would like to get up close to and personal with art and history. Thank you!
We loved our guide and enjoyed her knowledge of the art, sculpture and history!

Tiberio is knowledgeable, enthusiastic and filled with energy. It was a delight to have him as a guide. I learned a great deal and enjoyed doing it.
Wonderful tour and very knowledgeable guide. Did not feel pushed through spending just about the right amount of time on each art piece. A memorable experience.
I took 8 Walks of Italy tours. Each tour and guide was terrific.

Christina was an amazing guide. She was so knowledgeable about the history of the site and the art pieces, and made sure we saw all the highlights (and lots more) before the end of our 2-hour window. We felt like we were in good hands throughout the tour.
Felix is a very informative guide. He provided a great amount of insight about art and artist, and in a manner that made it interesting. Over the following days viewing other works of art, I noticed lighting, shading, and other techniques Felix mentioned, which made me reflect on the artists' intentions, not just whether I liked the work.

Great tour, and even better tour guide.
Great tour of the Borghese. Mauro was very knowledgeable and was so valuable in helping us learn about the beautiful artwork and sculptures in the Borghese.

Guido had unparalleled passion for the art contained in the Borghese Gallery, and a broad understanding on the interrelationships between the art contained at the gallery and throughout the city. He was full of suggestions on other places to visit based on our interests and questions. He provided us with interesting perspectives and facts as we appreciated various sculptures, paintings, murals and mosaics. We would have LOVED to have Guido take us on other tours of the area. Would highly recommend Guido for private tours. Thank you for an amazing experience!

Hilaria is a lovely and well informed young lady. It is a challenge to navigate between other tours, so she had to move fast. Unfortunately she didn’t have enough time to ask many questions while we were moving from one artwork to another, but asked us if we would like to know more at the end of the tour and chatted with us after the tour ended. A valuable experience.
I loved this tour! This is a must see in Rome with so many priceless pieces of art within arm's reach! Our tour guide was fantastic...passionate and obviously knew her stuff!! Will definitely recommend your tours to anyone visiting Rome. I did 4 tours with your company and every tour was well organized with a lot of planning ahead by the guides to give us the best possible experience..thank you!
