Why take this tour?

This isn’t your average Rome pizza making class. In the heart of Trastevere—Rome’s most atmospheric neighborhood—you’ll step into a professional kitchen where flour flies, glasses clink, and the scent of fresh pizza fills the air. Led by a charismatic local chef, you’ll master the secrets of pizza-making from start to finish—then dig into your creation with unlimited wine.

A Short History of Roman Pizza

Pizza in Rome traces back further than most guests expect. Ancient Roman soldiers baked flatbreads over open fire, topping them with whatever herbs, oil, or cheese they had on hand, the earliest ancestors of the pizza you'll make today. It took until the 19th century for pizza to become the Italian staple it is now, with each region developing its own style along the way. Roman pizzaioli still guard family recipes passed down through generations, and the guiding principle behind Roman-style pizza is restraint: less is more, as your chef will tell you more than once. Making it yourself means picking up that same instinct, not just a recipe.

Master the art of Roman pizza making in one unforgettable night.

Your Rome pizza making class begins at a cozy Italian cooking school where you’ll sip one of the nation’s favorite aperitivos: the spritz or prosecco. As you settle in, you'll get to know your local chef, setting the tone for a relaxed and personal experience.

Roll up your sleeves and bake like a pro.

Now it’s time to get to work! Stretch the dough, choose your toppings, and slide your pizza into the oven. As it bakes, the scent of bubbling cheese and crisping crust fills the air—your hard work is about to pay off.

A sweet Italian dessert.

Finish your Rome pizza making class with a crowd-pleaser: homemade tiramisù. With guidance from a local chef, prepare and assemble this classic Italian dessert. It’s the perfect choice for a night filled with flavor, fun, and hands-on memories.

Savor your creation with a toast (or two).

Gather around the table to enjoy your freshly made pizza and tiramisù, paired with unlimited wine and beer. Swap stories, enjoy great company, and savor every bite.
