City: Rome
Duration: 2 hours
Start Time: 8am
Due to Covid-19, this tour has been amended to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our guests. Please note that the opening time of the Vatican Museums may vary, we will vary the tour start time accordingly. St.Peter's Basilica may not be accessible. If this occurs during your tour we will spend more time inside the Museums & Chapel and your guide will give you introduction to the church should you wish to visit this on your own at a later time.
Enter the Vatican Museums a full 30 minutes before the general public on this express tour which includes early-entry Sistine Chapel tickets.
After meeting at the entrance to the Vatican Museums, your guide will escort you (and your small group of max. 20 people) through the long galleries of the Vatican Museums directly to the Sistine Chapel.
Along the way, they'll use visual aids to tell you the story of how the Chapel was painted and what to look out for once you're inside. Moving one step ahead most of the crowds, you'll reach the entrance to the Chapel just before it starts to fill up so you can take advantage of the relative peace and quiet.
After 30 minutes inside the Sistine Chapel, you’ll have the option to see parts of the Vatican Museums that you missed on your own, or you can follow your tour guide for the skip-the-line St. Peter’s Basilica tour. We highly suggest that you take advantage of this opportunity to get past general access lines to St. Peter's Basilica (which can stretch for hours during busy periods).
You'll see Michelangelo's Pietà and Bernini's incredible altar canopy, as you learn the history of the church and its importance to Christianity.
Visiting the two most important sights of the Vatican (the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica) in just two hours, this express tour is an affordable, fun and educational way to explore - without having to wait in line!
