The train ride takes less than 40 minutes. From Salerno, you have the option of taking the\u00a0SITA bus\u00a0to other towns on the Amalfi coast, including\u00a0Vietri sul Mare, Maiori, Minori and Amalfi.<\/p>\n<p><em>Time to Salerno: 30 minutes (fastest train). Operates: year-round.<\/em><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Naples_to_Sorrento_by_train\"><\/span>Naples to Sorrento by train<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Alternatively, if your final destination is Sorrento or towns north of Amalfi, you\u2019ll want to take the Circumvesuviana from the main Naples train station (Napoli Centrale). When you\u2019re there, look for the signs for the \u201cCircumvesuviana\u201d trains and buy the tickets from the desk\u2014the main ticket machines you see are\u00a0<em>not<\/em>\u00a0for the Circumvesuviana trains.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Circumvesuviana train ticket from Naples to Sorrento takes slightly more than an hour<\/strong>. There will be stops along the way.<\/p>\n<p><em>Time to Sorrento: 1 hour. Operates: year-round.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>As with Salerno, <strong>once in Sorrento, you can take the SITA bus to towns along the coast (<\/strong>read on to our section on \u201cGetting from Sorrento to the Amalfi coast by bus\u201d). This route is the\u00a0<em>cheapest\u00a0<\/em>option for getting to the Amalfi coast.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Note:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>From the Capodichino airport, you can take the\u00a0Alibus to the main train station (Stazione Centrale). It leaves every 20 minutes from the airport, and takes about 20 to 30 minutes.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_Naples_airport_to_Sorrento_by_bus\"><\/span>The Naples airport to Sorrento by bus<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>From the Capodichino airport in Naples, <strong>a bus runs directly to the Circumvesuviana train station in Sorrento.<\/strong> The journey takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes (depending on traffic conditions). Buses leave almost hourly, starting at 9am and with the last one at 7:30pm. The ticket costs \u20ac10 and can be purchased on board.<\/p>\n<p><em>Time to Sorrento: 1 hour 15 mins.
